Jums - African Elephant

Date of Birth: 01/01/1977

Jums is generally speaking even tempered and reasonably trustworthy. He is a great favourite amongst visitors and staff. He is not overly demonstrative towards unfamiliar people but thoroughly enjoys the company and attention from his keepers.

Jum is over 11 feet tall and weighs around 5.5 tonnes, he is the largest animal in the collection. His presence within the herd is significant and he has a profound effect on how the rest of the elephant group interact
